Pathways
The Pathways Initiative is designed to recruit, retain and graduate outstanding New Mexican ProStart students, preparing them for successful management careers in foodservice and related fields.
The School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management has created a community of PATHWAYS students. Selected students benefit from the following:
- Targeted scholarships - $1000 per semester
- Freshman Year Experience Course
- National Society of Minorities in Hospitality Membership
- Peer Mentor
All placement services are handled exclusively by the HRTM School. An annual hospitality-specific Career Fair helps students get on track for work and internship experiences. A professional development course is offered, featuring resume writing and interviewing skills. These efforts, combined with an excellent academic program, result in an annual placement rate of well over 95 percent of graduates.
